I just received your two discs from Strokeland Records. You guys kick ass. What a breath of fresh air. Not only are you guys massively talented musicians but you bring many different influences to your music. I hear Tower of Power, Earth Wind & Fire, Miami Sound Machine, and Chicago just to name a few. I really like the mix of soul, funk, rock, latin and blues. It is really great. I can’t wait for the next CD. I am in the New York area. I don’t know if you guys tour in this area but I sure hope you do. As an FYI I had King of the Avenues on in my car with 10 year old. His favorite song is Sabemos (and he doesn’t even speak Spanish). I just loaded it on his IPOD. Keep on rockin! Jon W |

Many thanks for sending me the Sage CDs. I really like the sound of this band! Sage has a nice, tight sound which was well recorded and produced in the studio. Each instrument can be clearly heard and is right where it should be in the mix. I especially like the Latin flavor you bring to the funk & soul... One of the things that came to mind while listening to the Sage CDs is for you guys to take on the obvious and do a cover of a well-known TOP song... and instead of just covering a TOP song like “What Is Hip?” or “Down To The Nightclub” which everyone knows, take one of those songs to the next level by re-writing it to be even MORE funky. Add your own twists to it and make it your own. All references to TOP aside, you guys are truly talented and have done a great job of developing your sound. The songwriting is especially good and you have obviously done your funk and soul homework.

... sent you a note to tell you how impressed I am by this new CD. It is one of the best I've heard in a long time and has hardly been off our player. My daughter is even bopping around the house singing to it! Great sound and arrangements. Congratulations on a great piece of work. You should all be proud.

Thank you Sage. Several of the songs on the new CD "Some Assembly Required", made me feel extremely good. From the very first track, "1 Way 2 Rock", which made me dance in my chair, I felt the band showed their dedication to making great music! My favorite song on this CD is "Sweet Love Baby". The romance, the beat, the melody and the words spoke right to my heart. Now all I need is someone to share a glass of wine with while listening to it! Congratulations guys on a great CD! I hope you sell a million copies!

I loved the new Sage CD. I don't know if it's my imagination, but I think the production quality is even better than the 1st CD!.

WOW! The first CD was awesome. This new one is even better. I have always loved the " Chicago" sound and while you guys remind me so much of them, you still remain unique.

This soulful rock rendition needs no assembly. It is jazzy enough to provide "1 Way 2 Rock" with the "Soul Patrol". Mr. Lucky who is "Sweet Love Baby" is a member of every ones circle.
